Are you one of those who can not refuse a chocolate dessert even if you are about to burst? If you feel identified, you will not be able to resist this magic chocolate cake recipe with tangerine.
The magic of this cake is that when you bake it, two layers are formed, the outer part is spongy like a sponge cake, but as soon as you cut it… the inner part is chocolate cream! Never such a simple recipe had achieved such a spectacular result. And if we add our tangerines, we have the perfect dessert.
- 125 gr unsalted butter.
- 500 ml whole milk.
- 70 gr flour.
- 50 gr cacoa powder.
- 4 eggs.
- 160 gr powdered sugar.
- 3 tablespoons of tangerine liqueur.
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Powdered sugar to sprinkle (additional).
- Tangerine segments for decoration.
Preheat the oven to 160ºC and grease a baking dish with a little butter. Meanwhile, melt the remaining butter and let it cool, now heat the milk until it is warm and put it aside.
We combine the flour and cocoa powder in a separate bowl, after mixing it for approximately 20 seconds, we set it aside.
Raise the egg whites to snow in another bowl and put it aside.
Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until they form a cream. Next, we add the melted butter, the tangerine liqueur and the vanilla extract. Stir it for about 2 minutes or until the dough is homogeneous and add the flour with cocoa and warm milk. Beat it gently until the dough is smooth.
Finally, we add the egg whites and stir it gently so that they do not get us much lowered. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and bake it for 50-60 minutes. The top should be spongy.
Let the cake cool completely before removing it from the baking dish. Sprinkle the cake with the powdered sugar and decorate the top with the tangerine segments.
If you want to complete the dessert, we recommend serving the cake with vanilla ice and our chocolate-orange jam, but warmed … To suck your fingers!
